The Nagarkot day hike is a delightful walking adventure into the nearest hill station of Kathmandu city at the elevation of 2170 meters above sea level. The Nagarkot is one of the popular hill station for tourists. The Nagarkot is 32 km away on eastern side from Kathmandu city which is nearly two hours vehicle ride. The main highlights of this hiking trip is escape in cool nature and high hills along with exotic Himalayas panorama views in backdrop of sunrise plus sunset, have enjoyable strolling through lush forests, pass through traditional farming lands, pass through conventional villages, pass through rough hilly passageways, tour the 5^th century ancient temple of Changu Narayan with golden gate and its decoration still in its original state.

The Nagarkot day hike begins with early morning drive before sunrise to Nagarkot hillside from Kathmandu city to view sunrise and have breakfast at Nagarkot. The tourists after having breakfast do some hiking at nagarkot hillside walking over exotic nature setting. In the daytime the tourists hike towards the Changu Narayan Temple which is a 5^th century old temple with golden gate and ancient building of 5^th century with beautiful wood carving and relics. It take four hours hiking trail over farming lands, lush forests, traditional villages and beautiful nature. The tourists after reaching at Changu Narayan Temple have lunch and get some rest there. They do some sightseeing over the village, temple, souvenir shops, restaurants etc. After finishing their sightseeing the tourists take vehicle to Nagarkot hillside because it’s inappropriate to get tired at delightful and joyful trip. The travelers at nagarkot hillside do some strolling over nearest Tamang village. In the evening the tourists view the sunset and the vehicle drive to hotel at Kathmandu city.
