Upper Dolpo Trek

Dolpo, popularly called ‘The hidden Heaven’ is the most exquisite but least explored trekking destination in Nepal. Dolpo lies in the north-west of Karnali region behind the Dhaulagiri massif. Naturally isolated by the difficult topography, it offers the high snowy mountain ranges in the north, canyons, river basins of the Bheri, Suligad, Rupagad, large and small cascades, varieties of plants/ herbs, about 197 species of birds, 32 types of mammals, communities with unique cultures and social aspects and ancient temples, Buddhist Monasteries. The people of Tibetan origin have still adopted primitive lifestyle with their own dialect and culture. To trek in Dolpo region requires a special permit and trekkers should be physically fit while the trek takes long and challenging.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Special trekking permit preparation day.
Day 03: Drive/ fly to Nepalgunj
Day 04: Fly to Juphal(Dolpo) Camp in Dunai, 5 hrs
Day 05: Trek to Hanke, 5 hrs
Day 06: Trek to Reiji, 5 hrs
Day 07: Trek to Phoksundo Lake3600m, 5 hrs
Day 08: Rest day at Phoksundo
Day 09: Trek to Lake beach, 5 hrs
Day 10: Trek to Mandala Camp 4,570m, 5 hrs
Day 11: Trek to Kang La (5,240m) pass- Shey Gompa (4280m.), 5 hrs
Day 12: Trek to Saldang pass (5010m)- Namgung 4,380m, 5 hrs
Day 13: Trek to Yanger Gompa (3890m), 5 hrs
Day 14: Trek to Musi Gaon (4270m.), 6 hrs
Day 15: Trek to Sime Gaon (3950m ), 6 hrs
Day 16: Trek to Tinja (4150m ), 6 hrs
Day 17: Trek to Kheng (4550m ), 6 hrs
Day 18: Trek to Charka pass (5,036m ) -Charka (4365m), 7 hrs
Day 19: Trek to Yak Kharka (4780m ), 5 hrs
Day 20: Trek to Sangda pass (5490m ) - Sangda phedi (5110m ), 7 hrs
Day 21: Trek to Sangda ( 3909m), 5 hrs
Day 22: Trek to Phale Gaon (2900m ), 6 hrs
Day 23: Trek to Jomsom ( 2710m ), 4 hrs
Day 24: Fly to Pokhara.
Day 25: Drive back to Kathmandu
