Tamang Heritage Trek
This is a newly opened trekking route in the Langtang region. It is easily accessible from Kathmandu by bus and trek starts from Gatlang. The trail then heads east towards Briddim village where we lodge with locals in a family home.One can observe the ancient lifestyle of the people who are originated from Tibet and later on they changed their ethnicity to Tamang.

The culture, rituals, costumes and traditions of these people are quite similar to the Tibetans across the border. Trekkers will have an opportunity to observe Syabru, Mane and other local dances at Goljung and Gatlang villages besides enjoying hot bath in the healing hot-water spring at Tatopani before reaching Nagthali. To stay at Thuman village would be an unforgettable experience. After stay at village we climb up to Gosainkund Lakes and descend to the trail end to catch a transport and return to Kathmandu. This is the only trek that provides family home stay accommodation and allows you to explore the remote people and culture of the Tamang and Tibetan borderland area.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Half Day sightseeing tour.
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1460m)
Day 04: Trek to Goljung (2200m. 4½ hrs)
Day 05: Trek to Gatlang (2220m. 5 hrs)
Day 06:Trek to Tatopani (2607m. 6 hrs)
Day 07: Trek to Thuman (2338m. 5½ hrs)
Day 08: Trek to Timure (1762m. 5 hrs)
Day 09: Trek to Briddim (2229m. 5 hrs)
Day 10: Trek to Thulo Syabru (2200m. 7 hrs)
Day 11: Trek to Shing Gomba (3200m. 4½ hrs)
Day 12: Trek to Laurebina (3900m. 4hrs)
Day 13: Trek to Gosainkunda - Cholangpati (3500m, 6 hrs)
Day 14: Trek to Dhunche (2000m. 4 hrs)
Day 15: Drive Dhunche to Kathmandu.
