Rivers in Nepal are graded on a scale of I-VI according to their size, the intensity of their rapids and difficulties.
Trishuli River: The Classic River ( Grade 3+)
For the first time paddlers, a trip down the Trishuli is an experience not to be missed (Grade 3 to 4+ in monsoon). This trip can be easily combined with a visit to Chitwan National Park or Pokhara.
Kali Gandaki: The River of God (Grade 4+)
Named after the Goddess Kali and descending through the deepest gorge in Asia, this fabulous river (Grade 3 to 4 + rapids) offers a mixture of breathtaking mountain views and pure adrenaline.
Bhote Koshi: The Harmony of Tibet (Grade 5+)
The Bhote Koshi is one of the best short whitewater adventures in Nepal (Grade 4 to 5+ rapids). On the way to the river you’ll enjoy great mountain views but once you’re on the river-nonstop whitewater adventure starts!
Marshyangdi River: The Raging River (Grade 4-5)
Flowing through the gorges of the Annapurnas, it runs sandwiched between 52 km of boiling foam & towering peaks. Marshyangdi River promises you an unforgettable trip with continuous class 4 to 5 rapids. It is a real adventure combining one day easy trekking with 2 to 3 days of intense white water rafting.
Karnali River: The Wild West (Grade 5+)
In the far west is the longest & largest river of Nepal. Spectacular landscapes, narrow gorges, the most challenging rapids & wildlife are the main attractions.
Seti Khola: A Picturesque Family Trip (Grade 2 to 3+)

Sun Koshi River: The River of Gold (Grade 4 -5)
The Sun Koshi River is one among the 10 most exciting whitewater rafting in the world. Passing through remote villages, mountains covered with forests and rice terraces, the river offers once-in-a-lifetime experience particularly during high waters, when the rapids can swell to massive size, sometimes making the rafts completely disappear from sight!
Tamur River: The Best of the East (Grade 4 -5)
Breathtaking 4-day trek through remote Eastern Nepal promises an amazing view of Mt. Makalu, Mt Kanchanjunga and rhododendron forest. River part offers you 120 kilometer descent through hundreds of most exciting class 4 to 5 rapids. The Tamur gives you an opportunity to explore a beautiful, but rarely seen part of Nepal on foot and raft or Kayak.
