From Thyangboche leaving the tree-lines for arid mountainous landscapes to reach our highlight and goal of the adventure at Everest base camp with close views of great Khumbu Ice-fall and glaciers, with climb to high Kalapathar 5550m offers tremendous panorama of giant peaks with Mt. Everest at its closest distance. How Long Is The Everest Base Camp Trek?
The standard Everest Base Camp Trek is 130KM round-trip which gets broken down into 12 days. Of those 12 days, it takes 8 days to get to Everest Base Camp 5362m and 4 days to get back Lukla 2880m. 12 days always include time and space for acclimatization..
Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Kathmandu to Lukla at Tenzing-Hillary Airport early morning 30 minutes scenic flight then and trek to Phakding 2,612 m / 8,570 f – -04 hrs.
Day 02: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m / 11,287 ft via Sagarmatha National park check post – 06 hrs.
Day 03: Acclimatization and Rest day in Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Trek to Thyangboche Monastery 3,860 m /12,665 ft – 05 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Dingboche 4,410 m /14,468 ft – 05 hrs.
Day 06: Acclimatization (rest) day in Dingboche.
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche 4,940 m /16,208 ft – 05 hrs.
